My Most Played Songs

     So anyone who’s been around here a while should know that music is pretty important to me – I even have a tattoo about it! But looking at your most listened songs is a fun exercise, because they’re not always what you expect them to be. I’ve had my current iPod for a little over two years now, so naturally more recent songs haven’t had time to rack up as many plays, and songs I used to listen to a lot tend to get skipped more. Play counts also get reset sometimes, especially when I’ve changed iPod or laptop – I wish I could have had a continual counter since my very first iPod, ten years ago. So this list is definitely not an accurate reflection on my favourite music – my two favourite bands (You Me At Six and Twin Atlantic) aren’t on here at all! Needless to say, I was pretty surprised by this list, but here it is…

     Number one was definitely the biggest surprise, I didn’t even think The Maine would make the top ten at all! Bands like Halestorm, All Time Low and Deaf Havana are expected, but I didn’t think it would be those particular songs. Numbers 2, 6, and 10 probably make the most sense to me. Usually I listen to the same playlist, but it has about 500 songs now as I’m always adding new ones, and there’s a lot I tend to skip now (a sign I should probably update it!), depending on my mood. These play counts have also definitely been reset at some point, as I know they used to be higher, and I’m sure this list will change a lot in the future!
