Outfit – Living On The Edge

     What better way to get a bit of wow factor on a night out with some (fake) leather shorts? I whip these out when I want a more dressed up look (other times a skirt or jeans is enough), but it’s harder to match a top to them than you might think. I kept reusing the same one for a while, until I bought this one a few weeks ago. Blouses or shirts are not my normal style – they still remind me too much of school days! – but I decided to give it a try anyway, and I’m very pleased with how this whole outfit turned out. The blouse definitely dresses it up a bit, certainly more than any of my other tops, and creates a softer, feminine balance to the tougher look of the shorts. And of course a pair of heels finishes the whole thing off – ankle boot style being my choice, which adds to the edgier sort of style alongside the leather. I also like that the colours in the necklace match the top, as I too often revert to silver jewellery, since it matches everything.
