Outfit – Paint Splatter
6 April 2015
I absolutely adore the bright colours in this dress – the grey means it isn’t too overwhelming, but the splatter design makes it fun and exciting. I’ve paired it with black and nude tights in the past, but I went with nude in the hopes of warmer weather soon (though we seem to be struggling to find any here in Scotland!) and they keep the outfit lighter in tone. Most of you will have seen my leather jacket before – my go-to piece to add to a more dressy outfit like this – and my flat shoes, ideal for comfort when I’m out dancing. The jewellery is small and subtle, but I’m really liking the layered necklace trend around at the moment. Normally I like to create outfit combinations for myself, but sometimes it’s difficult to pair up any of the necklaces I already have, so this 2-in-1 necklace does the job for me!
Also – a note mainly for any regular readers. I’ve decided to cut back on my numbers of outfit posts. They’ll still be around, but I realised there’s more Fashion posts on here than nearly every other topic, and although I like putting my outfits together, many of the other topics on here are more important to me, and I think they’re unfairly represented when there’s so many outfit posts. So from now on, these will crop up every couple of week, instead of every Monday, much like my other ‘series’ type posts (e.g. 642 Things, Musings, etc.)
