Outfit – A Pirate’s Life

      I feel like this week’s outfit is maybe a little less obvious than some of my previous ones? Anyway, I’ve returned to the villainous side, with a look inspired by Captain Hook, from ‘Peter Pan’. I didn’t have a red cardigan or jacket (and part of this project is not going out and buying specific items all the time!), nor a white top quite as frilly as his, but I thought the peplum hem of this one, plus the flared skirt made it a bit more flouncy! The colour of the skirt is obviously to match his outfit, and the black boots are pretty close to his too. I went with feathered earrings, since I don’t have a feathered cap, and a pirate medallion necklace, which has an inscription about the Jolly Roger! I added a bracelet and ring to one hand, with the silver metal meant to echo his hook. Finally, I have purple tinted makeup, to bring in the purple on his hat, and I’d slept with my hair in braids anyway, which captures some of the volume of his hair!
